When Common Core came into existence, there was a need to measure if a student was learning the Common Core way and to mine data from our children, so two testing Consortiums were created to do just that. The consortiums are called Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers (PARCC) and the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium. Here in Colorado, we have entered into contract with the PARCC Consortium. States, such as Colorado, who are administering PARCC and SBAC have agreed to not only allow student data to be shared with testing companies but they have also agreed to hand your child's data over to the Federal Government.
